Poker is a card game in which players wager chips (representing money, for which poker is almost invariably played) on the outcome of a hand. The game has many variants, but all involve betting. Each player is dealt two cards face down. If the dealer has blackjack, then the pot goes to the dealer; otherwise it is up to each player to decide whether to stay, hit, or double up.<\/p>\n
Once all the players have decided how to play their cards, the dealer deals three additional community cards face up on the table (known as the flop), and then later a single card called the river. The person who makes the best five-card hand wins the pot.<\/p>\n
